About Kew
Kew is a neighbourhood in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, in South West London. Kew is best known for being home to the Royal Botanic Gardens, which are now a World Heritage site. Kew village refers to several parades of shops that adjoin Kew Gardens station. Our estate agents love Kew for its community feel, and the combination of independent retailers and restaurants.
Kew Local’s Tips
The main attraction in Kew is obviously Kew Gardens, this is a world famous botanical garden, and the most biodiverse place on earth. Kew Gardens is also home to 500 acres of woodland and a huge seed conservation project.
The Glasshouse is a neighbourhood restaurant that has been operating in the area for over 20 years. Although this place has a Michelin star, there is no pomp or ostentatiousness about it, everyone is treated equally, and it is just as suitable for spur of the moment dinner as it is for a celebratory occasion.
